My career in Learning and Development started accidently. I worked in the public sector and a very small part of my role was giving talks to business people trying to win tenders in the developing world. I discovered I was pretty good at taking complex, dry material and making it interesting and relevant to those in the audience. I then moved into Learning and Development in central government and haven’t looked back!!

What I’ve learned from working in this area for 25 years is that I am not the most important person in the room – the learner is. I now spend time discovering what the learner wants to know rather than deciding for them.

I have also learned that training in isolation isn’t always the answer – really effective learning can also come from being coached either individually or within a group. In fact it is often a mix of learning activities that brings real understanding and the confidence, skills and abilities to act differently in order to get different results.

I started my career in administration and ended up falling into Learning and Development by chance. Being immersed in this environment has been a life-changing experience and having the opportunity to share my knowledge and understanding with you is an absolute pleasure.

I believe learning can be incredibly powerful and transformative. As an accredited coach, my goal is to support you through your learning experience so you gain real insight and make positive, sustainable change that works for you. Seeing a coachee have that “Light Bulb Moment” never fails to inspire me!

Watching people develop – whether individually or as a team, in their role or personally – is exciting and fascinating. It’s why we do what we do, and I look forwarding to working with you.
